Love Letter For A Bean ~ July 2011
Dear Bean-i-o,
You were 11 months old yesterday. As ever, your mommy finds it continually hard to believe how quickly time passes…
I feel like the past few months have brought so much change in you. You’re getting so big. You can do so many things. It’s a constant amazement to watch you grow…I can hardly even imagine you being so tiny as you used to be!
You are a crazy climber little lady. Up and down stairs, hoisting yourself onto step stools and chairs – we look at you in awe to see all the places you can reach. You can climb up the slide backwards with the strength of your arms, and your newest fun game is climbing down off our bed – not so great for mommy and daddy but it sure amuses you! You are strong, baby!
You are liking less to be held and more to be able to get from place to place yourself, though you still come to me frequently for cuddles, which I love.
I’ve had some beautiful moments with you this month when you wake up to eat around 10 or 11 at night – I come upstairs and feed you, and you fall back asleep in my arms. I love being able to do that…it is hard to tear myself away and put you back down on the bed. It’s become one of my favorite times of the day.
I’ve gotten to see you interact with so many different babies this month too, which has been a blast. It is so cute to watch you jabbering away to another little one!
You’ve also been spending a lot of time with Popo and Yiayia – Popo is definitely one of your favorite people in the whole world – you only have to see her to start laughing. It makes me happy to know you’re already so close to your grandmother.
It’s not easy for me to write to you this month…all I keep thinking about is leaving you soon for work. I know it’s not going to be that bad – I will still see so much of you. You love it at your grandparents’ house and it means you get to see daddy during the day more often.
I just always want you to know how much I love you, no matter what. You are so beautiful and smart and happy baby girl – I am going to do everything I can to do the best for you.
I am more thankful than I can ever express to have you as my daughter. I love you baby Bean.
Love,
Mommy
